IATF Quality Engineer | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support IATF 16949 compliance activities and internal/external audits.
• Manage APQP/PPAP processes for new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions using 8D methodology.
• Develop, implement, and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and other quality system documentation.
• Monitor key quality metrics (e.g., PPM, scrap, rework) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct process and product audits to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards and core tools.

Recommended Qualifications

• Deep understanding and practical application of IATF 16949 requirements.
• Proficiency in Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Demonstrated experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa).
• Experience conducting internal and supplier quality audits, including process and product audits.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• VDA 6.3 Auditor Certification
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
• Proven experience leading new product launch quality activities with major automotive OEMs
• Proficiency with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
• Multilingual proficiency, particularly in languages relevant to global manufacturing partners or customers
