Position Overview

Our client is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to develop engaging content focused on happenings in Downtown Detroit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends and the ability to create compelling content that drives engagement and brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with a great company and attend great events to gather social media content!

This is an ad hoc role covering events in Detroit as needed. On average this will be around 10-15 hours a month. You must be local to the Detroit Metro and have a portfolio of Social Media Content to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating content for our client's Instagram and Facebook page
• Take videos and photos of places and events in Detroit
• Create reels and YouTube shorts
• Edit content
• Uploading captions into editing tools

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media content creation or a similar role
• Passion for Detroit and events happening Downtown
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and skills in content creation
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Required to have your own computer/equipment and iPhone.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
