Robotics Local Sourcing - Factory
Supply Chain Manager In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. You will communicate with vendors on the commercial side, discussing pricing, payment terms, etc.... Will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. This is a hybrid work opportunity, based in Auburn Hills, MI. Key Responsibilities
- Execute strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier reliability for products and materials.
- Local Sourcing Plans: Design and implement effective local sourcing strategies to achieve business targets and future requirements.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Lead cost-saving projects to meet budget requirements and maintain competitive pricing for ABB Robotics products.
- Tariff Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to minimize the impact of tariffs through supplier diversification, regional sourcing, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Procurement Standards: Apply and maintain procurement tools, processes, and standards to ensure compliance and performance in quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
- Global & Local Alignment: Collaborate with global and local category teams to ensure sourcing strategies meet business needs.
- Bachelor's degree is required. Focus on Supply Chain preferred.
- 5+ years experience with procurement sourcing, new vendors launch, local sourcing for tariff tasks related, new project introduction to the USA factory.
- Previous experience in technical sourcing, mechanical procurement in global companies.
- Preferred working experience with SAP or other equivalent ERP systems.
