Position Summary

A full-time opportunity is available for a 2nd Shift Machine/Laser Operator with experience in metal fabrication. This role requires hands-on expertise with Fanuc laser systems , CNC machinery , ABB robotics , Trumpf equipment , and general fabrication tools. A strong background in MIG welding, cutting, and fabrication processes is essential. Familiarity with Python programming is a plus but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor laser cutting systems (Fanuc, Trumpf) with precision and attention to quality.

• Load/unload material using cranes or forklifts while following safety procedures.

• Work with CNC-controlled machinery , adjusting settings and programming as needed for production runs.

• Interface with ABB robotic systems for automated operations and assist in troubleshooting.

• Perform routine checks and maintenance on machines to ensure consistent operation.

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

• Assist in MIG welding and fabrication tasks as needed.

• Operate cutting equipment , including band saws, cold saws, and shears.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Record production data and report equipment or quality issues.

• Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 2 years experience operating CNC or laser machinery

• Demonstrated experience with:

• Fanuc lasers

• Trumpf laser and fabrication equipment

• ABB robotic systems

• CNC machining operations

• MIG welding and metal fabrication processes

• Saws and cutting tools for structural steel

Preferred (Bonus):

• Familiarity with Python scripting/programming for machine automation or data handling

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions

• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks

• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required

Schedule & Hours

2nd Shift:

• Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

• Occasional extended shift: 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM based on workload

• Saturdays: As scheduled by supervisor (mandatory during peak times)
