Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, and assemblies using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and execute prototypes, conducting testing and analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless product realization.
• Analyze and resolve design-related issues encountered during production or field use.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for various applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of diverse manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining, additive manufacturing).
• Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g., CFD, non-linear FEA, multi-physics analysis).
• Hands-on prototyping, testing, or assembly experience.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for design automation (e.g., CAD APIs, Python).
