**Job Summary:**
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations in our restaurant. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of kitchen management, and the ability to maintain a high standard of food quality and safety. The Kitchen Manager will lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, manage inventory and supplies, and ensure that our kitchen runs efficiently to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Leadership Team Management:**- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive working environment.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and presentation.
- Schedule and manage kitchen staff shifts to ensure proper coverage and efficiency.
**Food Quality Safety:**- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation practices.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities, equipment, and food storage to ensure compliance.
**Inventory Cost Control:**- Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Monitor food costs and implement strategies to control expenses while maintaining quality.
- Assist in menu planning and development, considering cost and seasonal ingredients.
**Operational Efficiency:**- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and service.
- Address any issues that arise in the kitchen, including service delays or staff conflicts.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
**Qualifications:**
Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment.- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
