Salary Range: $58,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Charlotte seeking Buyers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials and components.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize costs.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives for purchased items.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to ensure material specifications are met.
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, and resolve supply chain issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Demonstrated project management skills, particularly for new product introduction or supplier development.
• Experience in global sourcing and managing international supplier relationships.
• Technical background or strong aptitude for understanding complex engineering specifications.
