Position Title: Wiring Technician
Location: Kalamazoo , MI
Pay Range: $18.00/Hour
Shift: 1st
Schedule: M-F, 6:00AM- 3:30PM
Job Description:
- Assembly and wiring of Unit electrical controls, sensors, instrumentation, motors; includes conduit runs and auxiliary junction boxes/enclosures from the provided blueprints.
- Responsible for the mounting of control panels into the units and final wiring before the test process.
- May required to fabricate some parts from sheet metal using industrial bending and cutting equipment.
- Use of various tools (drills, small plasma torch, all types of hand tools, etc.).
- Occasional gas line piping/fitting tasks may be required.
Qualifications:
- Keeping safety as the priority at all times.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Technical school attendance a plus
- Ability to understand and work from electrical and mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and terminology required
- Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management
- Must be willing to work some overtime if the business need arises
- Must be very detailed oriented and stive to achieve high quality results
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize and adhere to written procedures
- Professionalism, a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team
