Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for lathe operations using CAM software.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and workholding devices for specific part geometries.
• Create and verify efficient tool paths to ensure accurate material removal and surface finish.
• Perform program simulations and dry runs to identify and correct potential errors or collisions.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive setup sheets, tool lists, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and refine processes.
• Continuously improve existing programs for increased efficiency, quality, and reduced cycle times.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
• Demonstrated expertise with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and material properties.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
• Practical experience with CNC lathe setup, operation, and troubleshooting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience programming CNC Mills or other multi-axis machines.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling for fixture design or part modification.
• Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced metrology techniques.
• Experience with automation integration, such as robotic loading systems.
