Working Maintenance Supervisor - Days

Southfield, MI

We are looking for a Working Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is a Monday-Friday role with occasional Saturdays. You will have a team of two employees and two contractors, and you will work on various projects as well.

The company’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings. There is at least one Company coating layer on every second car produced!

As a Working Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of professionally diverse maintenance technicians in maintaining and continuously improving the Company's Southfield site. This is a hands-on role with time equally shared between performing work and follow-up activities associated with the team’s work. Your extensive experience will enable you not only to lead but also to coordinate, oversee, and manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors, and contractors involved in building maintenance, construction, and other building improvement activities. Salary range commiserate with experience: Starting around $83k+

What you'll do:

• Prioritize work orders and accomplish them promptly.
• Develop an execution strategy for new constructions regarding material, labor, and how to accomplish the related plans.
• Ensure work is performed safely and maintain compliance with Company RC Audit concerns.
• Provide professional guidance to maintenance technicians, such as coaching, teaching, and instructing.
• Ensure PMs are completed according to the maintenance program.
• Create operational expense projects to ensure the site remains in good working order.

If you...

• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Candidates must have 10+ years of related building maintenance experience. (HVAC, masonry, landscaping, pneumatics, pumps, plumbing/leaks, general construction, etc.
• Have a professional license, technical/trade certification, or degree.
• Have prior supervisory experience.
• Have basic computer skills, including MS Office.
• Are willing to work overtime at least one Saturday a month.
