Engineering & Technical Services | Executive Network–Driven Growth About The Opportunity Actalent Services is expanding its presence across the automotive and transportation sectors , partnering with leading OEMs and suppliers to deliver high‑impact engineering and technical services. We are seeking a Client Relationship Consultant to help accelerate growth by leveraging executive‑level relationships, industry insight, and a deep understanding of how engineering services create value. This role is ideal for a senior engineering services business development professional or a former automotive executive who brings strong industry credibility, trusted relationships, and a desire to help shape and expand enterprise partnerships—without carrying a traditional quota or territory. Role Impact As a Client Relationship Consultant, you will serve as a strategic connector between Actalent’s Services leadership and senior decision‑makers across the automotive and transportation ecosystem. Your introductions, insight, and guidance will help unlock new opportunities, expand existing engagements, and strengthen Actalent’s position as a trusted engineering services partner. This is a consultative, relationship‑first role focused on access, alignment, and long‑term value creation. Key Responsibilities- Leverage your executive‑level network to introduce Actalent Services to senior leaders across automotive and transportation organizations
- Facilitate and broker high‑value executive meetings that lead to qualified sales opportunities and expanded partnerships
- Advise Actalent leadership on industry trends, customer priorities, and organizational dynamics within automotive and transportation markets
- Partner with Services Sales and Delivery teams to align capabilities, past performance, and solution positioning to client needs
- Shape and refine value messaging and industry‑specific differentiators for use in the marketplace
- Provide strategic input on service delivery approaches and technical capabilities to support successful project execution
- Review and enhance marketing materials and thought‑leadership content in collaboration with the marketing team
- Deliver concise activity updates and executive‑level insights through weekly reporting and periodic status presentations
- A respected industry leader with 10+ years of experience in engineering, engineering services, business development, or automotive leadership
- A former automotive OEM or Tier‑1 executive or senior services leader with a strong professional network
- Comfortable engaging with VP‑ and C‑suite stakeholders and influencing through credibility and insight
- Commercially savvy, with a solid understanding of how engineering services are sold, scoped, and delivered
- Strategic, collaborative, and motivated by helping organizations grow through relationships and execution
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience operating at the intersection of engineering, services, and executive engagement
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Troy Delivery Center and remote)
- Willingness to travel as needed (minimal expected)
- Partner with leading automotive and transportation organizations, including Fortune 500 companies
- Influence how engineering services are positioned, marketed, and delivered at enterprise scale
- Collaborate with experienced services sales and delivery leaders in a highly strategic role
- Leverage the relationships you’ve built throughout your career to create measurable business impact
This is a Contract position based out of Troy, MI.
Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $150.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
