Parts Shipping & Receiving - Inventory Assistant
Shaheen Chevrolet is looking for a full time wholesale parts shipping & receiving inventory assistant!
Seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The ideal candidate should have the ability to work with others and also independently, have strong attention to detail and multi task. Applicants must have previous experience working in warehouse with 1+ year tenure at previous employers.

SUMMARY - Assures proper and correct inventory counts and maintains overall warehouse cleanliness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct accurate regular, continuous cycle counts and forward reconciling results to management.
- Perform daily bin maintenance. Monitor and eliminate dual and invalid locations whenever possible.
- Report to inventory management on stock levels, issues etc.
- Check in GM parts according to the correct procedures and in a timely fashion.
- Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
- Assist management with warehouse projects.
- Assist with monthly material returns and obsolescence.
- Annual Parts Inventory
- All other duties assigned by management.
MARGINAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Assist management team with annual parts inventory and other projected as specified

EDUCATION and/or EXPERINCE
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One or more years related experience and/or training,
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent to effectively manage stocking levels
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to establish effective stocking levels
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License
- Hazardous material handling certification
- Forklift operator certification
