Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Operate CMM equipment to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts.
• Analyze measurement data, interpret results, and identify non-conformances or deviations.
• Generate accurate and comprehensive inspection reports detailing measurement findings.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to define measurement strategies and resolve issues.
• Perform routine calibration checks and basic maintenance on CMM equipment.
• Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize existing programs for efficiency and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Demonstrated experience with CMM setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of metrology principles and measurement best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced GD&T certification or expertise
• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)
• Proficiency in CAD design software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
• Background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or data analysis
