Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up manufacturing machinery for production runs according to specifications.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, dies, and fixtures for various production processes.
• Conduct test runs and perform first-piece inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of setups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine and tooling issues encountered during setup and changeover.
• Optimize machine parameters and settings to achieve desired production rates and product quality.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on equipment during setup procedures.
• Document setup parameters, procedures, and any modifications made for process improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in setting up, calibrating, and operating various manufacturing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for machinery.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and understanding of quality control.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setup role.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming or robotics.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for interpreting or modifying tooling designs.
• Prior experience with a CMMS or ERP system for maintenance tracking.
