Job Title: Machine Repair Technician

Job Description

This role involves repairing and troubleshooting a variety of machinery such as CNC, metal stamping, plastic injection, steel, plastic, and grinding equipment within a manufacturing facility. The technician will be responsible for tearing down, rebuilding, and installing machinery. Travel for this position can be up to 40%, and the technician will handle repairs on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, chains, grinders, and automation equipment. Welding skills are considered a plus, and rigging machinery is required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot various types of manufacturing machinery.
• Tear down and rebuild machinery and equipment.
• Install new machinery, ensuring proper function and safety.
• Perform repairs on motors, valves, pumps, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems.
• Handle rigging of machinery as necessary.
• Travel up to 40% for job assignments, primarily during the week.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine repair and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to perform rigging tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding skills are advantageous.
• Journeyman card is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a 1st Shift role, working Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 3:30 or 4:30 PM, with 9 to 10-hour days. The position usually requires one weekend a month. Employees meet at the shop in the morning and travel to job sites with the foreman, getting paid from the time they punch in. Travel constitutes up to 30% of work time, with minimal weekend travel. The pay ranges from $28 to $40 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $84200.00/yr.
