Position Overview

MyMichigan Health is seeking a new Anesthesiology Department Medical Director in Midland, Michigan. Based at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland, this physician will provide high-quality anesthesia care and oversee the departments services.

Hospital Details

The role is based at the 324-bed Medical Center, which offers 24-hour emergency services, Level II trauma care, and various specialty services. Responsibilities include perioperative assessments, anesthesia administration, patient monitoring during surgery, and postoperative care.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient & Procedure Mix: Provide full-scope anesthesia care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
• Schedule: Full-time with flexible scheduling options.
• Call: 1:8 rotation with post-call day off.

Minimum Requirements

• U.S. medical degree or equivalent
• Board Certified or Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
• Unrestricted medical license and Controlled Substance License in Michigan or eligibility
• PALS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association

Practice Details

This opportunity is based at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland , situated on a 225-acre wooded campus. The hospital performs over 18,000 cases annually, providing comprehensive primary and specialty care, including emergency and trauma services.
