Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify production tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform root cause analysis on tooling failures and implement robust corrective actions.
• Optimize existing tooling designs for improved efficiency, quality, and reduced cycle times.
• Manage tooling lifecycle, including procurement, maintenance, and end-of-life planning.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to define tooling specifications.
• Develop and maintain tooling documentation, including drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and suppliers for tooling components.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design, simulation, and manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, or die casting.
• Knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatment, surface finishes, and their application.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting tooling issues, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, including GD&T.
• Experience with project management for new tooling development and modifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling applications.
• Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, Moldflow analysis).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
