Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies to optimize material acquisition.
• Source, evaluate, and manage a diverse network of suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings, quality standards, and favorable delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid material shortages.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material lead times to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and supplier relationships.
• Ensure all procured materials meet required quality specifications and regulatory compliance.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with international sourcing and global logistics
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and supplier performance tracking
• Advanced experience with ERP/MRP system implementation or optimization
