Kingfisher Recruiting is working with a new client to find a Lead Journeyman Electrician to oversee electrical installations, service work, and project execution across industrial job sites. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide a team while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Schedule: M-F

Pay: Competitive with Market

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise apprentices and electrical helpers on job sites.
• Perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on residential and commercial projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and job specifications.
• Install wiring, conduit, panels, lighting systems, breakers, and control devices according to state and national electrical codes.
• Assign tasks and ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.
• Conduct service calls and provide professional customer-facing communication.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to maintain smooth workflow.
• Track materials, labor, and project progress; maintain accurate and organized documentation.
• Ensure all work meets NEC and Michigan electrical code requirements.
• Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety procedures on every job site.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
• 5+ years of electrical experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
• Prior experience leading crews or supervising apprentices
• Strong understanding of NEC, Michigan electrical code, and general safety regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and provide effective solutions
• Skilled in reading blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service abilities
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work at heights, lift 50+ lbs, and operate electrical tools safely
