Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including engine repairs, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments.
• Service vehicle components such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire service, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure safety and optimal performance.
• Repair and maintain diesel engines and powertrain components with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.

Requirements

• Proven mechanic experience with dealership or automotive repair shop background preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with auto body repair, welding, wheel alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and auto estimating is a plus.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, must be certified by the State of Michigan . Certified ASE certifications or equivalent are preferred but not mandatory.
