St. Catherine of Siena Academy educates young women to develop their feminine genius, their unique dignity, identity, and gifts as women created in the image of God. Our athletic programs exist to complement this mission by forming young women of character, confidence, and faith through sport.

Position Summary:

St. Catherine of Siena Academy is seeking a Varsity Track & Field Coach who will serve under the direction of the Athletic Director and work collaboratively within the Athletics Department. The ideal candidate is a role model of integrity, faith, and leadership dedicated to fostering athletic excellence, personal growth, and sportsmanship within a Christ-centered environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement effective training sessions to develop athletes in all areas of Track & Field.
• Promote individual skill development, teamwork, discipline, and respect in accordance with the mission of St. Catherine of Siena Academy.
• Manage and supervise practices, meets, and team activities to ensure athlete safety and program excellence.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Director and staff to set instructional and performance goals.
• Establish and communicate clear expectations for performance and behavior.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, uniforms, and inventory related to the Track & Field program.
• Uphold MHSAA eligibility and academic standards for all student-athletes.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages sportsmanship and faith-based leadership.
• Take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
• Previous Track & Field coaching or competitive experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of Track & Field techniques and training principles
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate, and guide young women in athletics and life
• Commitment to the mission and Catholic identity of St. Catherine of Siena Academy
