We are looking for a dependable Customer Service Representative to join a communications team in Lansing, Michigan. This contract to hire opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, handling a high volume of calls, and keeping information organized and accurate. The role offers a consistent schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week, and candidates must be available to commit to at least 32 hours weekly. No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone ready to build a career in customer service. Shifts are between 12pm and 8pm Monday-Sunday, 100% onsite.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming customer calls professionally and provide clear, helpful support during each interaction.
• Conduct outbound calls as needed to gather information, follow up on requests, or complete assigned outreach activities.
• Enter orders and update customer details accurately in the appropriate systems while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Manage a steady call volume efficiently while delivering courteous service and resolving basic customer concerns.
• Record conversation outcomes and maintain organized documentation for each customer contact.
• Arrange work hours within available weekday and Saturday shift options while consistently meeting weekly scheduling expectations.
• Ability to work 32 to 40 hours per week with a minimum commitment of 32 hours weekly.• Availability to self-schedule within designated Monday through Friday and Saturday shift windows.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to remain attentive and friendly on the phone.
• Comfort working in a call center or phone-based customer service environment.
• Basic data entry and order entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• No previous experience is required; training readiness and reliability are essential.
