Role Overview:

The Director of Events at Benzinga is not just a role; it's a career-defining opportunity to steer a core division within an innovative company. You will be tasked with not only enhancing our existing event lineup but also pioneering new initiatives that align with Benzinga's aggressive growth objectives. Your leadership will directly impact our global reach and bottom line, reflecting our mission to democratize financial information on a worldwide scale.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the strategic development and execution of Benzinga's global events portfolio. Influence company-wide strategy with a focus on scalability, profitability, and innovation.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee a robust events calendar, managing every aspect from concept to completion with precision and flair. Ensure exceptional delivery that maintains and elevates Benzinga's brand in the global marketplace.
  • Business Development: Aggressively expand Benzinga's market presence by developing new event initiatives and strategic partnerships that drive growth and position Benzinga as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Build, inspire, and lead a team of event professionals. Create a culture of excellence that attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
  • Financial Stewardship: Command the financial strategy for the events division, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management to maximize profitability and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: At least 5 years of senior-level experience in event management, preferably within the sectors of Fintech, Finance, Cannabis, or Crypto.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related field, with a preference for advanced business/marketing qualifications.
  • Strategic Vision: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and implement event strategies that meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Analytical Acumen: Profound analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data to make informed, strategic decisions.
  • Leadership Prowess: Proven track record of leading teams to success in high-stakes environments, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in modern technology and event management tools essential for high-level event execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
