Business Development & Sales Specialist â Mobile Maintenance
MalaceHR is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development & Sales Specialist â Mobile Maintenance to support growth within our mobile trade services division. This role is responsible for expanding market presence and driving new business opportunities across HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry services.
The ideal candidate will combine strong sales expertise with industry knowledge to deliver consultative solutions and build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation within target markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including facility managers, property managers, engineers, and procurement teams
- Lead negotiations and manage complex sales cycles through to close
- Conduct site visits and needs assessments to understand client requirements and scope of work
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, estimating, design) to develop tailored service solutions
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
- Respond to RFPs and provide accurate pricing and service recommendations
- Maintain and manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Participate in industry associations and networking events (e.g., BOMA, IFMA, IREM, ASHE)
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity
- Support marketing initiatives and client engagement efforts
- Ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new clients
- Provide ongoing support to maintain customer satisfaction and retention
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in one of the following:
- Mobile maintenance services
- HVAC/R, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical industries
- B2B/outside sales or technical roles (Estimator, Project Manager, Service Manager)
- Proven track record of closing high-value deals and managing a sales pipeline
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Valid driverâs license
Preferred:
- Associateâs degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with CRM platforms and tools such as ZoomInfo, CoStar, or similar sales analytics platforms

- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel required
