Job Details:

• Will be assigned in behavioral health most of the time
• Work 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule - may work 1 day, 2 days, or all 3 days of the weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to Pediatrics Emergency Department if necessary
• Patient ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:4-7, could be up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays
• Care for all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Daily census of 250 patients with 100 beds
• 36-hour orientation period with modules to be completed pre-start
• Required certifications: State license (Michigan), ACLS, BCLS by AHA, PALS, TNCC, NIH
• Preferred certification: ENPC
• Minimum 2 years experience required with Level I trauma experience mandatory
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Preferred experience: continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and triage
• First-time travelers accepted
• 5-day maximum RTO policy with all requests submitted at time of submission
• Michigan license must be active by start date (compact license not accepted)
• All certifications may not pend beyond contract start date

The emergency department is equipped with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, ensuring comprehensive patient care for complex trauma and emergency cases.
