Registered Nurse- Family Medicine Detroit NW Clinic - Union Position (Full Time) Days-Detroit

Henry Ford Medical Center – Detroit Northwest currently offers limited services, including primary care, rehabilitation and retail pharmacy.

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice which incorporates the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrates a direct relationship between nursing intervention and patient outcome. Demonstrates clinical competence and engages in effective patient teaching.

In an academic practice, the RN's role extends beyond patient intake. Supporting 15 residents requires:

• Complex Care Coordination: Residents rotate frequently; the RN acts as the permanent clinical anchor for patient continuity.
• Triage Oversight: Managing the high volume of results, orders, and patient calls generated by 22 total providers.
• Educational Support: Assisting residents with clinical workflows, procedures, and EMR navigation to ensure clinic efficiency.

Location : Henry Ford Medical Center - Detroit Northwest 7800 Outer Drive West Detroit, MI 48235

West outer drive has added security, gated employee parking requiring badge access-Very secure location

Hours: Monday-Friday (rotating weekends between the 3 RN's 8AM-12PM) About 1x every other month
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9AM-5:30PM
Tuesday 11:30AM-8PM

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Completion of HFHS training courses for operation of registrations, appointment scheduling, charge entry computer systems and other Patient Financial Subsystems.

1-3 months of on-the-job training.

Critical thinking & time management needed for this role

Managing Phones, EPIC in basket and Titrations is 95% of the daily work
