Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130–$2190 per week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49007
• Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: Night shifts, 12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to Mother-Baby Unit, Bronson Battle Creek Birthplace, or as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Call Requirement: None

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and valid Michigan RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Advanced or Advanced EFM certification preferred
• EPIC charting and GE EFM system experience preferred
• OR and triage nursing experience preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Professional references required

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Labor & Delivery unit, adhering to AWHONN staffing guidelines
• Assist with triage, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Float to Mother-Baby Unit, Bronson Battle Creek Birthplace, or other hospital units as needed
• Document patient care using GE EFM system and EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in required orientation modules and annual nursing training
