Position Overview
SAI Systems is seeking an experienced Senior IT Professional to support and improve client environments across Southeast Michigan. This individual will serve as a trusted technical resource for our MSP clients and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction.
This is a hands-on role where technical breadth, problem-solving skills, and customer service matter most.Key Responsibilities
Client Support
- Handle advanced troubleshooting for desktops, servers, and networks.
- Provide remote and onsite support as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Be a resource for junior technicians and help them develop and practice new skills.
Systems & Infrastructure
- Manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Support common networking equipment (firewalls, switches, wireless access points).
- Administer servers (Windows Server, virtualization platforms like Hyper-V/VMware).
- Oversee backups, patching, and endpoint security tools.
Projects & Implementations
- Lead client projects such as email migrations, firewall deployments, and network upgrades.
- Assist in developing and reviewing quotes.
Documentation & Process
- Maintain accurate documentation of client environments.
- Assist in preparation of reports and customer presentations.
- Contribute to SAI’s knowledge base and help improve processes.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of IT support/administration experience, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server / Active Directory, and networking basics (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP/DNS).
- Proficient with backup and security tools (EDR/AV, MFA, patching).
- Proficient with RMM (Remote Monitoring & Management) tools.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Light scripting/automation experience (PowerShell).
- Experience setting up and administering SolidWorks, ACAD, and ePlan software.
