Hotel Royal Oak is a boutique hotel designed to be hip, local, and social , a place where guests don’t just stay, they experience . From craft cocktails in our Vinyl Room to curated music and late-night energy, we create a vibe that people remember.

We’re looking for someone who can own the bar and the front desk at the same time , someone who naturally hosts, connects, and elevates every guest interaction.

The Role

This is a hybrid bartender + front desk position , perfect for someone who thrives in a social environment but also values structure, responsibility, and guest service.

You’ll be:

• Crafting cocktails and creating energy in our bar
• Checking guests in/out and managing the front desk
• Acting as the face of the hotel during your shift
• Keeping the vibe right, music, lighting, cleanliness, and flow
• Driving revenue through happy hour, programming, and upselling

Consistent schedule with opportunity for additional shifts based on performance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Bar & Guest Experience

• Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails
• Create a welcoming, social atmosphere
• Engage guests and build repeat relationships
• Promote specials, events, and programming

Front Desk Operations

• Check guests in/out using hotel systems
• Handle guest requests and problem resolution
• Answer phones and manage reservations
• Maintain lobby presentation and cleanliness

Vibe + Operations

• Set the tone of the hotel each shift
• Ensure music, lighting, and spaces feel intentional
• Complete daily operational tasks and checklists
• Communicate clearly with the team and management

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bartending experience (required – basic cocktail knowledge is a must)
• Strong hospitality mindset, you enjoy taking care of people
• Comfortable multitasking between bar and front desk
• Confident, social, and personable
• Reliable and able to work overnight shifts
• Detail-oriented with a sense of ownership
• Someone who understands that the experience matters just as much as the drink

Bonus If You Have

• Boutique hotel or nightlife experience
• Experience with POS systems and/or hotel systems
• A passion for music, events, or social environments
• Ideas for programming, events, or guest engagement
