This is a well-established academic medical center offering a high level of care, including a Level I Trauma designation and a Level III NICU. The facility provides strong physician supervision and a collaborative care environment, ensuring excellent support for advanced practice providers throughout their assignment.
Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner – Neonatology
Job Details:
- Fill a Neonatology staffing need within an inpatient Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level III) setting
- Coverage begins July 5, 2026 with an ongoing end date TBD
- Day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Average patient load of 10–12 patients per APP per day
- Documentation completed via Epic EMR
- Must be board certified (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent)
- Must hold an active Michigan state license at time of name clear; new license candidates are not accepted
- Current NRP advanced provider or instructor status required
- Neonatal experience required; new graduates will not be accepted
- APP will not work autonomously; supervising physician will be present during the assignment
- Required procedures include: delivery room attendance, neonatal resuscitation, PICC line placement, umbilical line placement, needle aspiration, and chest tube placement
- Patient demographic: Neonates
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 120+ days
- Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation (must be pulled within the month)
- Weekend availability required
- Facility will reimburse hotel, mileage at IRS standard rate, and flights

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
