Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure manufacturing equipment and machinery for production runs.
• Install, align, and calibrate tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures according to specifications.
• Perform first-off inspections and make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues during setup.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment during changeovers.
• Document setup parameters, process changes, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize setup processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in machine setup, operation, or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or robotics.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing or minor modification of tooling designs.
• Basic machining or fabrication skills for fixture modification.
