Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines using CAM software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Determine optimal machining parameters including speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy and prevent collisions.
• Generate, test, and troubleshoot G-code directly on CNC machines.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC mill programming.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360).
• Expertise in G-code and M-code programming, including manual editing and optimization.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Comprehensive knowledge of machining principles, tooling, workholding, and material properties.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced 4th/5th axis programming experience.
• Proficiency in CAD design for tooling and fixture creation.
• Experience with post-processor customization or development.
• Familiarity with CMM programming or advanced metrology equipment.
