Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity

The BL Risk Testing Analyst II plays a key role in supporting the development and execution of business process testing and monitoring activities for the Insurance business line. The position is responsible for executing testing and monitoring of assigned areas. Execution of testing includes identifying and assessing process risks and controls, flowcharting business processes including identifying and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls, executing tests, documenting results, assessing review findings and making initial determination of reportable issues. During the process, completes work in accordance with Ally Financial testing and monitoring methodology.

The Work Itself

  • Independently execute assigned testing activities, including test of controls and validation/transactional testing
  • Support program planning and execution
  • Develop, execute and document testing in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Utilize sound analytical and technical skills to provide consultation regarding emerging control practices.
  • Analyze business process and internal control documentation and develop written summary of findings to review with Management.
  • Identify root causes and provide meaningful recommendations.
  • Perform ad hoc projects as assigned to assist in analyzing Ally's risk and control environment.
  • Work within defined plans and schedules.
  • Maintain open line of communication with management of assigned areas

Skills

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ years of experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of work experience with a preference in testing, auditing or risk management preferred
  • Bachelors (or higher) degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Ally Insurance products or experience with F&I and/or P&C business preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong understanding of risk and control concepts
  • Ability to understand a range of processes within the Insurance business line
  • Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in data analytics and analysis
  • Proven ability to excel in highly interactive team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel (~5%)

Base Pay Range : $55000 - $95000 USD

An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
