The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex setups and changeovers of various presses, including tooling and die installation and adjustments.
• Operate manufacturing presses efficiently and safely, monitoring machine performance and output.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections, measure parts using precision instruments, and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, tooling issues, and production problems promptly.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses and associated equipment.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper material flow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up various types of manufacturing presses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor adjustments.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality control procedures.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
• Basic machine maintenance and repair skills
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
