Inventory Control Manager | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of inventory records through regular cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock, prevent shortages, and minimize excess or obsolete material.
• Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports, providing insights into performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and oversee periodic physical inventory counts, ensuring their accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the disposition of obsolete, slow-moving, and damaged inventory to minimize financial impact.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and inventory management software.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Certification in APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or other relevant supply chain management programs.
• Proficiency with advanced data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
• Experience with the implementation or optimization of ERP/WMS modules related to inventory.
