Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs from concept through production, ensuring manufacturability.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Conduct design analysis, including tolerance stack-ups and material selection, for optimal performance and cost.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize designs for production processes.
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs and design changes.
• Generate and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including Bills of Material (BOMs) and specifications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for part and assembly design.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, including materials science, statics, and stress analysis.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for creating detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Proven ability to prototype, test, and validate mechanical designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, injection molding).
• Proficiency in advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD).
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
