Salary Range: $47,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking CNC Machinists. Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and technical drawings to determine machining operations.
• Monitor machine operations, adjusting feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper fixturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms or operational issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machinery and tooling.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and performing quality inspections.
• Experience with tool selection, work holding, and offset adjustments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program generation and optimization.
• Experience operating and programming 5-axis CNC machines.
• Demonstrated ability in basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
