Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, 3D models, and specifications to define inspection criteria.
• Utilize and calibrate a variety of precision measuring instruments, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Accurately record and document all inspection results, including dimensional data, material certifications, and process verifications.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformances or deviations from specifications to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure product conformity.
• Maintain organized and traceable inspection records for audit purposes and historical reference.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Expert-level proficiency with precision measuring tools, including CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, and micrometers.
• Proven ability to accurately complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 or similar industry standards.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role, with a focus on first article inspection.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or similar certification.
• Familiarity with Quality Management System (QMS) software (e.g., Net-Inspect, SAP QM).
• Basic understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding).
