Position Summary
The Vice President (VP) of Sales is responsible for leading the sales organization, developing strategies to drive revenue growth, and ensuring alignment with the company’s overall vision and goals. This role provides strategic leadership, oversees sales operations, and works closely with executive leadership to expand market presence, strengthen customer relationships, and achieve business objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the sales team, including regional and national sales managers.
- Establish sales targets, forecasts, and performance metrics in alignment with business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and finance teams to align go-to-market strategies.
- Oversee sales operations, including pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting accuracy.
- Evaluate and implement sales tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales leadership team.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer engagements.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to the executive team and board of directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in complex, high-growth, or technology-driven environments.
- Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, pipeline management, and forecasting practices.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams and presenting to boards of directors.
