Salary Range: $55,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of first-run production parts.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Generate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following AS9102 standards.
• Verify compliance of parts with engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Document and report all non-conformances, discrepancies, and critical observations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Maintain the calibration status and proper functioning of inspection tools and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Demonstrated expertise in operating a wide range of precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs.
• Thorough understanding and practical application of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes, particularly AS9102 standards.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and relevant industry inspection methodologies.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results, complete FAI reports, and identify non-conformances with meticulous attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with CAD software for model review and analysis.
• Internal quality auditing experience.
