Employment Litigation Attorney - Troy, MI
A prominent Michigan-based law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its team in Troy. The firm represents employers ranging from startups to large corporations in a wide range of labor and employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and non-compete litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to handle sophisticated litigation in both state and federal courts while working within a collaborative and well-respected legal team.
Offer:
$120,000 - $170,000 annual base salary depending on experience

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice in Michigan
3+ years of employment litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting
Proficiency in handling discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, FMLA, ADA, and restrictive covenant cases
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Experience managing all phases of litigation including depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
Ability to provide practical and strategic advice to corporate clients regarding risk mitigation and compliance
Responsibilities:
Represent employers in employment-related litigation in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC and NLRB
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct depositions, negotiate settlements, and participate in mediation and arbitration
Advise clients on employment policies, internal investigations, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with colleagues across departments on overlapping labor, corporate, and compliance matters
Maintain client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives when appropriate
