Inspection Technician | Newaygo, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to verify product compliance.
• Document inspection results accurately in quality records, logs, and databases.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment and disposition processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure correct inspection criteria.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company quality procedures and policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or automated vision inspection systems.
• ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or similar professional certification.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
