Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: Wyoming, MI

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay: Up to $40/hr. (Based on experience)

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, knowledge of electrical codes, and the ability to work independently from plans, blueprints, and verbal instructions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical distribution systems, motors, generators, armatures, and other electrical equipment.
• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair climate control and related electrical systems.
• Perform work assignments using written or verbal instructions, sketches, and blueprints.
• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair lighting and electrical distribution systems across residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and related apparatus to identify and correct malfunctions.
• Read and interpret electrical prints and plans to complete repairs and new installations.
• Conduct system sweeps to identify or locate existing distribution feeds.
• Follow accepted electrical trade practices in compliance with national, state, and local building and safety codes.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience.
• One of the following State of Michigan licenses required:
• Journeyman Electrician
• Master Electrician
• Valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe, acceptable driving record
• Candidates with an out-of-state license must obtain a Michigan license within four (4) months of hire.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Proficiency with email and electronic communication systems.
