Summary:
We are exploring potential contract opportunities for an experienced VB.NET Developer. This role would begin as an in-office contract position with the possibility to move to a hybrid arrangement over time. While we do not have a formal job posting active at this moment, we are open to interviewing strong candidates who align with our technical needs and work style.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, enhance and maintain software solutions using VB.NET and MS SQL
  


• Translate application requirements, backlogs and use cases into functional code


• Ensure strong performance, responsiveness and code quality in developed applications


• Collaborate with team members across departments to support project goals


• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing and support


• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code


• Support unit testing, system testing and user acceptance testing


• Provide input on coding standards and best practices

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Multiple years of hands-on experience with VB.NET


• 
  Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server , including database design


• 
  Experience with web development, APIs and reporting tools is a plus


• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, TFS or Subversion


• Understanding of application architecture and design documentation


• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment


• Experience with C# is a plus

Additional Notes:

• This is a contract position with the intent to explore long-term fit


• Candidate must be willing to work onsite initially
