What you’ll drive

• Be the professional point of contact for customers and field service engineers, ensuring clear, timely communication.
• Deliver hands-on technical guidance to field engineers, technicians, and the parts team.
• Own the service backlog—monitor, sequence, and optimize workflow for efficiency and on-time resolution.
• Act as the interface between technicians and higher service tiers within the EMAG Group.
• Prepare cost estimates from defined scopes and customer/engineer discussions.
• Plan task lists, produce quotes and reports, and coordinate resources to resolve customer requests quickly.
• Strengthen relationships across customers, vendors, and internal teams to foster collaboration and trust.
• Oversee sourcing, shipment, and tracking of parts and tooling; manage POs and invoicing to enable seamless service delivery.
• Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts, pricing questions, reporting errors, invoice discrepancies, and disputes.
• Translate EMAG machine know-how into practical, high-quality service execution with cross-functional partners.
• Help lead field service initiatives that evolve with customer needs and organizational goals.
• Track field engineer travel and labor time; complete Service department invoicing and filing.
• Take on additional assignments as needed.

Background that sets you up for success

• 8–10 years as a Service Engineer/Technician in the machine building industry.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and cloud/SaaS tools; SAP experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of FANUC and/or Siemens controls.
• German language skills are a plus.

• Job will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to and visit a customer’s office, production facility or job site. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
