Role Summary

As a CT Tech, you will perform specialized technical duties the require the ability to set up computed tomography equipment, position patients, and acquire cross sectional diagnostics images of internal body structures for the detection, diagnosis, ad evaluation of pathology. Perform procedures on patients including schedule exams, inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Produce high quality radiographic images through appropriate positioning and technical factors. Operate CT scanner, power injector and post screening equipment.

· Perform general radiography exams as needed.

· Maintain a repeat rate at or below the national standard.

· Proficient with terminology and procedures performed in all Diagnostic Imaging.

· Position patients based on anatomy in question and provides accurate measurements, educates and clearly explain procedures before imaging, and follows age-specific guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

· Registered through AART in Radiography.

· Two year allied health degree preferred.

· Able to perform imaging independently and accurately.

Essential Physical Abilities/Motor Skills

· Ability to work sitting, walking, and/or standing for long periods of time.

· Ability to twist, pull, bend and lift associated with patient transport and equipment handling.

· Ability to push wheelchairs and stretchers.
