Shipping and Receiving Associate - Grand Rapids MI
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
- Prepare, package, and ship outgoing equipment and supplies according to company standards.
- Accurately record shipment information, including discrepancies or damages, and report issues as needed.
- Maintain and organize equipment storage areas to protect company inventory and assets.
- Sort, stock, and place inventory on racks and shelves in designated locations.
- Deliver supplies to local customers and internal locations using a company vehicle.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support operational and customer needs.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, professional, and self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.
- Customer service-focused with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record (No DUI’s in the past 5 years).
- OSHA forklift certification preferred; must be willing to obtain certification upon hire.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving, inventory control, warehouse, or logistics environments, preferred.
