Key Responsibilities

• Perform various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick) according to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
• Inspect welded joints and components for defects, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery in good working order.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in common welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Demonstrated experience with various metal types (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
• AWS certification (or equivalent) in relevant welding processes.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods or visual inspection standards.
• Proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Additional certifications in specialized welding processes (e.g., orbital welding, specific exotic materials).
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or overhead cranes.
