Transportation Project Manager - Rochester Hills

This position requires an energetic, self-directed engineer/manager to supervise and perform engineering work relating to the design and construction of civil transportation projects. This individual will determine the scope of the work involved and plan, conduct, and supervise the engineering work of the project team. The successful candidate must enjoy solving engineering problems and challenges in a collaborative environment, while professionally managing financial budgets, schedules and maintaining client satisfaction. Excellent communications skills and a positive attitude toward building relationships is a must. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering (PE) License
At least 8 years of practical highway engineering design experience, including MDOT project experience, with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Work with established clients
Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets
Lead multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians
Manage projects from preliminary studies and engineering through final design and construction documents for bidding
Lead the development and design of new projects from beginning to end
Maintain existing client relationships
Assist in the development new clients and opportunities Work Environment / Physical Demands / Individual must be willing to: Work in an office environment
Attend client meetings and travel by car and/or plane if the project requires it
Participate in industry events such as conferences, relevant presentations
Perform site visits
