Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for cardiac catheterization, structural heart, interventional radiology, diagnostic/planned intervention neuro, vascular and EP pacemaker/device patients
• Perform pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, post-procedure care and patient education
• Calculate cardiac output and perform hemodynamic monitoring
• Set up procedures and operate lifesaving equipment including intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella
• Scrub cases and assist with sterile procedures
• Transfer patients, stock supplies and perform basic office procedures
• Record all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets
• Assist Radiologic Technologists to circulate cases and sterically drop procedural supplies on tray
• Provide nursing support to IR procedures and pre/post procedure care
• Call requirements with 12 days per month
• Weekend and holiday coverage for call only
• Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology experience and cardiac rhythm interpretation preferred
• Knowledge of intra-aortic balloon pump operation preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
